Radiological diagnosis

  • Pantomogram – a specialized X-ray device used to take overview dental photos, the so-called panoramic radiographs. These are photos presenting the general condition of all teeth, bones and joints adjacent to the teeth, and partially the maxillary sinuses. At the UNI-DENT Dentistry Center, we have a state-of-the-art digital panoramic radiograph, thanks to which the photo taking takes 10 seconds and the radiation dose is limited to a minimum. A panoramic radiograph is recommended before starting treatment in every patient.
  • Radiovisiography – is the most modern technique of taking digital pictures of teeth. The use of state-of-the-art equipment allows the X-ray radiation dose to be reduced by 90% compared to photos from an analog camera, making this method much safer for the patient and the doctor. When taking a photo, the patient does not have to go to another room or even get up from the chair. Taking a photo is very quick – the image in excellent resolution is immediately visible on the computer screen. This allows the doctor to take measurements or process the photo, e.g. to enlarge the part of the photo that interests him, and therefore to make a quick and effective diagnosis.
